About Me
Hi! My name is Emily Marinac and I am a third year student at Loyola University Chicago! I am majoring in Social Work with a minor in Nonprofit Management. This semester I interned at Susan G. Komen Chicago, a nonprofit breast cancer organization. I am involved in lots of things on campus, such as the School of Social Work Student Organization, Chaarg (a fitness group), and Alpha Phi Omega, a service fraternity! I love to travel and spend time with my dog, Henry. Last semester I received the opportunity to study abroad at Loyola's John Felice Rome Center. It was a life changing experience, and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity. I traveled through Norway, Switzerland, Croatia, France, Ireland, Austria, and Hungary, and learned many important life lessons along the way. These experiences shaped me into the independent leader I am today.
This is a photo of me on my first ever solo trip, to Switzerland! This experience helped me learn to be independent, through dealing with language barriers, lost luggage, and other troubles on my own. In this picture I am on top of Mount Jungfrau.
This is a photo of my dog Henry, and I! I made a powerpoint presentation way back in the 7th grade to convince my parents to get us a dog, and well, it worked!
